And I like to think that God would want the last portion of our lives to be the best and most fruitful, especially after all that training He has invested in us. Yet, so many have some of our most intense battles at that time, whether health, family relationships, or financial. That's when it becomes very clear (it did to me, anyway) that if we've been ignoring spiritual warfare, we could die of these things. Without ever having seen some of the best fruits of our labor. And so...

To bootcamp. Those lessons we skirted around all those years but are so vital to our very existence, now. Especially when we live in such dangerous times. And just when we are ready to sit back on our laurels -- comes this new revelation... fight, or die.

OK. So, let's do it. Let's "buckle up," as you say (and hold on). Loved your analogy of Jesus not slowing down on the learning curve. This post is truly a word for NOW. Thank you, thank you. And I can't wait to see what comes from your new pen!Lilly Maytreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17749276313502544046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8570136422953593988.post-33733701529245018412012-05-28T11:48:48.468-04:002012-05-28T11:48:48.468-04:00Hi Carol,

The neat thing was I preached about the day of Pentecost yesterday at church, Joel 2:28-29, Acts 2:1-4.

God knows.

Great post with a lot of heart. Makes me think of Psalms 144:1

"Blessed be the LORD my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:"

God Bless,
JoeJoe Younghttp://josephjyoung.com/noreply@blogger.com
